The 2006 growing season was warm and resulted in harvest between September 17 and October 3. Vines were fourteen years old, grown in bilateral cordons on a vertical shoot potisiton trellis. Vine are cropped at a very low 1.75-3 tons per acre. Our sustainably farmed vineyard is Salmon Safe certified. The name Terra Blanca, Latin for white earth, is named for the high calcium carbonate content that whitens soils of our Red Mountain vineyard and helps produce the incredible depth and structure in the grapes. The first grapes were harvested from our estate vineyard in 1997
